We're into the second year of The New 52 and rumours abound of changes coming up before it hits its third birthday*. With that in mind, hit the jump to check out the titles I think should be added to the roster of comics to be produced.

Let's be honest, despite solid concepts and the huge popularity of Darkseid, the New Gods have never been able to hold down a book. But with the popularity of Thor at Marvel and with Orion having a well liked supporting role in Wonder Woman** now seems to be the time to capitilise on the New Gods. Have Orion be the focal character and explore the universe around him. With the New Gods, however, the creative team are key.

Back in the day, DC had a great series called Gotham Central that focused on the police department with Batman a rarely seen shadow over the series. The Daily Planet would would act in the same way, doing for the reporters what Gotham Central done for the GCPD. With Lois, Perry, Ron Troupe, Steve Lombard and Jimmy Olsen we already have the core players. This series could fill a niche and look at the world of superheroes from the humans who report on them.

The original incarnation was responsible for reintroducing and redefining a lot of characters from DC's past. With a lot of characters not seen, or just briefly seen, in the New 52 this would be the perfect title for a book that continues the tradition. It could also be used to showcase*** characters who haven't quite worked in their own New 52 books or wouldn't quite support a series of their own. It may also be worth DC taking a gamble and making it a biweekly book. However it would proceed, rotating creative teams per arc is a must (perhaps bringing some creators back to the DCU).

Okay, yes, I know. There is currently a Batman/Superman (which explores their friendship) and a Superman/Wonder Woman book (which explores their relationship). But lets cancel those two books and mash the titles into one book. These guys are the cornerstone of the DCU. No matter how much the rest of the Justice League are trying to be brought to their level, they won't be. Gives us a book that explores the relationship between the three heroes whilst adding threats only these guys can deal with. Heck, have them leave the League and operate as a group of their own.

A superhero who travels through time (and the multiverse) with a robot sidekick.... This was a popular book for DC before the universe revamp/reboot that was the New 52. Surely it would be a no-brainer to bring this back?

* When does it stop being new?

** Hands down the best book DC is putting out on a monthly basis.

*** Pardon the pun.
