Last month the WB announced nine dates for unnamed DC based movies. Well, today it looks like we know what DC property is going to get one of those dates.
For the last month or so Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has been dropping really heavy hints that he is going to be involved in a Shazam! movie. And today, via Twitter, he has made it official by announcing he is going to play the anti-hero/villain Black Adam.
This announcement was confirmed by DC Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns. Variety is also reporting that the script will be written by Darren Lemke, who's hiring is a new one, and that the film may be fast tracked when the script is finished. No other casting news or who is in the frame for director has been revealed.
