Massive casting news today with TVLine reporting that Brandon Routh will be returning to the DC family as Ray "The Atom" Palmer in Arrow season three.
The former Man of Steel will be joining the show in a recurring (rumoured to be 14 episodes) role with the character being described as: "An unparalleled scientist and inventor, Ray will play an unexpected role in the lives of Oliver and (rumoured love interest) Felicity as the new owner of Queen Consolidated. Palmer's plans for Queen Consolidated's Applied Sciences Division will be shrouded in mystery."
The Atom is fan favourite Justice Leaguer (second to join after Green Arrow) and has appeared in animated form but this will be his live action debut. Plus, this shrinking hero will make it to the live action medium before Marvel's Ant-Man. Ace.
